Medical Alert Response System
Medical Alarm - Medical Alert
Storing emergency information on a computer or a personal digital assistant (PDA) is easy for someone who is well versed in computers and technology. Well, it's easy assuming you have the time to keep up with all the people on your emergency list.
How often do you switch doctors, cell phones numbers or regular phone numbers?
Now imagine you're an elderly person who has never used a computer and doesn't know what "PDA" even stands for. Storing emergency information isn't that easy for them. Combining that with the difficulty of keeping everyone's information up to date makes the task even harder.
A medical alert response system can do two things. First, they provide medical alarms, which are small, medical emergency devices that allow anyone who wears one to call for medical help in case of a fall or other injury. When the single button on a medical alarm is pressed, the wearer is connected with an operator who talks to the wearer and finds out what's wrong.
The operator then consults an emergency contact list that is kept by the service and contacts everyone who needs to be contacted after the elderly person has an emergency. This way, the elderly person doesn't need to keep track of any emergency information on their own. The medical alert response system takes care of everything for them.
